The last complete Notebook Grading will be done tomorrow after I stamp. The last grading will be Friday, but we will only count the stamps you earn for Friday.

VERY IMPORTANT FOR LAST WEEK OF 1st SEMESTER
Look at this entire week and realize the following:
Quizzes as follows:
Tu - Quiz 2.2
Wed - Mem. Ions 1
Th - Quiz 2.3 and Mem. Ions 2
Fri - Final S2
You will be required to memorize 20 ions - 10 for Memorize Ions 1 on Wed and 10 more Memorize Ions 2 for Th. Ammonium, all Negative Polyatomic Ions, and a-c of the acids will all be included. Start now, the sheet from which you will need to memorize is today's handout. (see link in assignments below.)

Now is the time to pour it on. Your Chemistry CST from State of Ca. is coming Wed 5/18. It can raise your 1st or 2nd semester grade by 1 whole grade. See below! Students that did well on my CST did one thing very well: They took this on-line CST from the Geeks to practice 5-10 times. Each time they did better! If you want to really improve, make sure you know all of the answers and why they are correct. YOU CAN DO IT ! ! !

Here's the deal in writing, CST scores can raise your grade and here is how it works:
● Basic changes an F (any level) to a D (300/600)
● Proficient changes a D to a C (350/600)
● Advanced changes a C to a B (394/600)
● (430/600) High Advanced changes a B to an A
Scores come out in summer. Bring your score to me during summer or in September. If verified, you get the appropriate grade change. Also, you may choose to have that change for 1st or 2nd semester!
