Chapter 18: Chemical Equillibrium

  Homework
Section 18.1 Equilibrium: A State of Dynamic Balance
  1. 5/16/2018 VIDEO LINK - Marc Seigel on how to write a Chemical Equilibrium Expression
  2. 5/16/2018 Write equilibrium reaction equations and their Keq expressions for the 5 reactions shown in the Marc Seigel video I have linked below. You may want to watch the Chem Toddler equilibrium reaction in the other link below.
  3. 5/21/2018  596  1(abcd)  (5 pts)
Section 18.2 Factors Affecting Chemical Equilibrium
  1. 5/16/2018 VIDEO LINK - shown during class for chromate <----> dichromate reaction shift (from Chem Toddler on YouTube)
  2. 5/25/2018 LINK - Animation of 3 factors in LeChatelier Shifts
  3. 5/24/2018 LINK - LeChat sheet for predicting equilibrium shifts
  4. 5/24/2018 Ch 18.2, p. 574 10,11(abc),12 (abc) (7 problems) (5 pts) Use today's handout to answer with all problems except 10.
  5. 5/24/2018 VIDEO-LINK - Equilibrium Shifts for Concentration changes in gas or aqueous solutions - how to
  6. 5/24/2018 VIDEO LINK - Equilibrium Shifts for changes in size of vessel. Works only with gases in closed containers. The shifts are predicted by counting coefficients on each side of the balanced equation. Shifts to the side with fewer moles reduce pressure, while shifts to side with more moles increases pressures. If coefficients on both sides of the equation are the same, LeChat cannot do anything.
